FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Find answers to the most common questions about leaf springs, installation, ordering, and our services.
Product selection and compatibility

How do I find the right leaf spring for my vehicle?
The best approach is to submit your vehicle data on our contact page. Alternatively, use your vehicle's make, model, and production year. On our online shop, you can easily select leaf springs by vehicle type (e.g. Ford Ranger, Fiat Ducato). You may also check the part number on your existing spring or send us a photo for support.

Can I install a reinforced leaf spring on a vehicle that originally had a light-duty version?
Yes. In fact, this is often recommended when the vehicle is frequently fully loaded or modified (e.g. camper conversion, refrigeration box). However, note that it may reduce ride comfort when the vehicle is empty.

What should I do if my vehicle has been modified (e.g. camper, crane, tail lift)?
Such modifications often increase the rear axle load. We recommend installing reinforced or helper springs. Please let us know about any modification when contacting us—it helps us recommend the best solution.
Are aftermarket leaf springs as good as OEM parts?
Yes - our aftermarket springs meet or exceed OEM standards. All products we sell are made in the EU, follow OEM dimensions, and are trusted by commercial operators across Europe.
What if I'm not sure what product I need?
No problem—just contact us with your vehicle details, use case (load, usage, eventual modifications). We'll find the best option for you.
Installation and modifications

Do I need to modify anything when upgrading the spring?
In most cases, no. Reinforced or helper springs are designed to fit the same mounting points. Occasionally, longer U-bolts may be needed, which we supply.
Can I combine different enhancement products (e.g. reinforced spring + rubber helper)?
Yes, but it should be done carefully. Combining too many systems can lead to an overly stiff suspension. We're happy to help you choose the right combination based on your load and comfort needs.
Do I have to replace both leaf springs at the same time?
Not necessarily. In most cases, replacing only the damaged side is enough. However, if your springs are old or the vehicle has sagged on both sides, replacing them in pairs may restore balance and ride quality.
Can I replace just one broken leaf in a multi-leaf spring pack?
Yes, but only if the other leaves are in good condition. This is typically economical for vehicles with 3 or more leaves, but less common for pickups. Always inspect the entire spring pack before replacing just one leaf.
Can I install the leaf spring myself?
Yes, if you have basic mechanical knowledge, tools, and can safely lift and support the vehicle. However, due to potential rust or stuck bolts, many prefer to leave it to a professional.
Do I need new U-bolts when changing the leaf spring?
It's recommended. U-bolts can stretch or corrode over time. Reusing them may reduce clamping force and compromise safety.
Can I order a leaf spring replacement service from your company?
No, we currently do not offer installation or replacement services. We focus on supplying high-quality leaf springs and suspension components. However, we're happy to provide technical advice or help you find a local workshop if needed.
Diagnosis and performance
How do I know if my leaf spring is worn out or broken?
Look for visible cracks, rust, sagging of the vehicle, loud noises from the rear suspension, or uneven ride height. A visual inspection can often confirm a problem, especially if one side sits lower than the other.
My vehicle is sagging in the rear - is it because of the leaf springs?
Very likely. This is one of the most common symptoms of weakened or overloaded leaf springs. A reinforced spring or helper solution may be needed.
What options do I have to increase my vehicle's load capacity or reduce sagging?
There are four main solutions:
-
Reinforced leaf springs
-
Rubber helper springs
-
Auxiliary air springs
-
Lifting blocks (lifting the body without reinforcing)
Each has different advantages based on load, budget, and comfort. (See separate chapter about it on our website.)

Will a reinforced spring make the ride stiffer?
Yes, especially when the vehicle is empty. If comfort is a top priority, consider air springs or rubber helpers instead.
What is the result if I add a leaf spring enhancement product?
By adding a leaf spring enhancement (such as a reinforced spring, helper spring, or air spring), the rear of your vehicle will sag significantly less under load—typically 20% to 50% less.
For example, if your vehicle normally sinks 80 mm under a 1-ton load, the improved suspension may reduce that to only 40–50 mm, depending on the type of enhancement used.
Time and cost
How long does it take to replace a leaf spring?
In an ideal scenario with proper tools and experience, about 1 to 1.5 hours per spring. If there are complications like rusted bolts or seized shackles, it can take several hours longer.
How much does it cost to have a leaf spring replaced?
Labor costs vary widely. A small workshop might charge from €100, while brand service centers can exceed €500—and this doesn't include the cost of the part itself.
What are typical prices for leaf springs?
Our single leaf springs start from 90 EUR, pickup springs from 110 EUR + shipping. Leaf springs for heavy trucks can be up to 1,000 EUR.
Legal and compliance
Can I upgrade the spring capacity without registering the vehicle as uprated?
Yes, you can use stronger springs to reduce sagging and improve ride quality under load. However, this does not legally increase the vehicle's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). For official upgrades, a certified registration is required.
Is it possible to officially upgrade my vehicle's load capacity?
In many countries, yes. You'll need certified springs and documentation.
Will suspension enhancement springs affect TÜV or vehicle inspection?
It depends on the product category:
-
For air spring kits, we provide TÜV-approved documentation, which is typically required for inspection
-
For reinforced leaf springs or rubber helper springs, in most cases no TÜV documentation is required, based on current inspection practices
Are your leaf springs TÜV certified?
All of our leaf springs are CE-marked, which confirms compliance with European standards. A separate TÜV certificate is not required for standard replacement springs.
Can I get documentation for official vehicle load upgrade?
No. We currently do not offer TÜV documents or technical services for official GVWR upgrades.
Will the spring reinforcement appear in my vehicle registration?
Only our air spring kits can be registered officially. We provide complete TÜV documentation for these products, which can be submitted during the vehicle inspection and registration process.
Ordering and payment
How long is the warranty for my leaf spring?
We offer a 2+1 year warranty: this includes the legally required 2-year EU warranty, plus an additional 1 year of extended warranty provided by us for your peace of mind.
